Why did you join EA? My passion for being an engineer makes me want to drag everyone I meet into this field. On the road to becoming an engineer you develop a great set of skills and thereby open up a world of opportunities. I am very excited to encourage other young students to follow this line of work and experience the love of making things for themselves.

What’s your favorite part of being an engineering student? I really love the fact that the technology and work we do touches everyones lives. Our work has the potential to inspire and serve. When we look back on the history of human achievements, engineers have a huge role to play in making our world today.

What made you come to the University of Illinois? Illinois was by far one of the best schools for engineering. As a foreign applicant it was clear to me that this university only made room for the best in the world. Also, the diverse backgrounds of the students here made it an attractive destination for broadening my horizons.

What advice would you give to someone interested in pursuing a STEM degree? Surround yourself with people that share your passion for the field. It makes the journey a lot better.
