VICE PRESIDENT
Aerospace Engineering
Class of 2018

Hometown: Bensenville, IL

Research/Work Experience: Nope =(

Other campus activities: I'm also involved with Women in Aerospace, Illinois Space Society, Wildlife Society, Society of Women Engineers, and the AE Career Fair Board.

Why did you join EA? I only became an engineering student because of a group of women in engineering that had an event. I would've ended up down the wrong career path if it weren't for them. I want to expose people to the world many see as unattainable or hard, when in reality it's no harder than any other major.

What’s your favorite part of being an engineering student? Making a difference. Even as a student, we're helping create projects for NASA and doing outreach events. And that is just the beginning of the impact us, as engineers, will make.

What made you come to the University of Illinois? As soon as I walked on campus, I felt at home. I had no idea where I was, but it was so beautiful and serene it didn't matter.

What has been your best experience at Illinois? Late night homework sessions with my roommates and friends. Gathering in our apartment around a whiteboard and working together to do an assignment.

What advice would you give to someone interested in pursuing a STEM degree? Never give up, but don't forget to have fun.

What do you plan on doing after graduation? I would like to focus on Electrical Engineering in an Aerospace company or maybe do consulting.
