Engineering Ambassadors use funds to host schools on-campus to showcase Engineering at Illinois as well as to take Engineering at Illinois on the road to schools and outreach events. Donations to EA help cover costs of supplies, travel to and from visits, branding materials, as well as a one-of-a-kind STEM Speaking Competition hosted on campus.

EA reaches over 1000+ students each year between on-campus and off-campus events. For instance, each semester, we lead 30 classroom visits spanning kindergarten to high school and participate in multiple outreach activities to Chicago Public Schools, Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts in the community, and recruiting events for under-represented populations. Engineering Ambassadors aren’t only impacting the K-12 community, EA also provides student support through our partnership with Engineering Career Services by performing mock interviews and resume reviews for engineering students.
