Why Illinois?

Illinois was really the only university that made me feel wanted, and that just such a stark contrast compared to a lot of the responses I got from other universities. I didn't want to be too far from home, and I was excited to see the basketball team turn into a national powerhouse while I was here!!

What has been your best experience at Illinois?

All of the unique research experiences I have had, and the wonderful projects courses that I have done as part of MechSE

Favorite part about being an engineering student?

Being able to interact with peers, professors, and others on a daily basis and surround myself with this world of STEM

Why did you join EA?

I thought that EA's goal of outreach and spreading STEM to younger generations was very inspiring, and I especially wanted to participate in this type of work because I never experienced anything like this when I was younger. I really only chose engineering because I liked math and physics!

What advice would you give to someone interested in pursuing a STEM degree?

Think about what motivates you and excites you right now, and go with that! I believe that if you are doing work that you love, then everything else will fall into place.

What do you plan on doing post-graduation?

😎 grad school 😎
